How to Clean Rainfall Shower Head?

Rainfall shower heads are designed to provide a relaxing and luxurious water flow. However, over time, mineral deposits, limescale, and impurities from the water supply can clog the nozzles, reducing performance. Regular cleaning is essential to keep the shower head functioning smoothly and to extend its service life.

Step 1: Remove Surface Debris

Use a soft cloth to wipe the surface of the shower head. This removes soap scum, dirt, and visible mineral buildup without scratching the finish.

Step 2: Soak in a Cleaning Solution

Detach the shower head if possible and soak it in a mixture of warm water and white vinegar. This natural solution helps dissolve mineral deposits. For fixed shower heads, fill a plastic bag with the solution and secure it around the head with a rubber band.

Step 3: Clean the Nozzles

Gently rub or squeeze the silicone nozzles with your fingers or a soft brush to dislodge any remaining limescale. Avoid using sharp tools that may damage the outlets.

Step 4: Rinse Thoroughly

After soaking and brushing, rinse the shower head with clean water. Run the shower for a few minutes to flush out any loosened deposits inside the unit.

Step 5: Dry and Inspect

Wipe the shower head dry with a soft cloth and check water flow. If performance is still affected, repeat the soaking process or consider internal inspection.

Why Regular Cleaning Matters

  • Ensures consistent water pressure and spray performance

  • Prevents limescale buildup that can shorten product lifespan

  • Maintains the hygienic condition of bathroom fittings
